If you have been over to the Orange Show Monument within the past two years you might have noticed some pretty interesting things happening next door at Smither Park. Each Saturday, artists from across the city and state decend upon the park to create beautiful, three-dimentional handmade mosaics, spanning across a 400-foot wall. This is just the first step in what is destined to be an enormous cultural asset within Houston's East End.
We've been quietly raising money to complete Smither Park over the past couple years, but now it's your turn to get involved and show your support! Starting today and going through Friday November 2nd we are raising money through Kickstarter to build a set of swings within the park - swings that will provide fun and smiles for children and adults alike for many years to come.
